Learning Styles: General: pg 19-25, then specific chap. On each
Concrete Sequential: predictable, organized, productive...great workers/students.
Abstract/Sequential: researchers, logical, objective, methodical
Abstract/Random: sense needs, get along well, flexible/spontaneous, feeling
Concrete/Random:  creative, independent, uncompromising, not into rules.

Who's what?
Kev : AS very strong some CR
HR:  CS mostly, some CR
IR:  So very CR it's ridiculous
ER: AR but some of all the others
GR: CS, AS, AR--pretty much opposite of IR

How do we study/concentrate?
Things to consider:  noise, light, heat, eating, internal clock,
Radical experiment: let child do work his own way (w/in reason) for 2-3 weeks and evaluate if he's accomplishing what needs to be done well. If he is, let him continue since he knows what's best. If he doesn't, start helping him make better choices.
See pg 80 for a kid to start  thinking about this concept.
Our preferences:
Kev:  quiet, not too bright, cooler, food, better early am
HR: noise OK, likes sun, warm, drinks, better later
IR; quiet, not too bright, warmer, food, better later
ER noise OK?, not too bright (Irlens), warmer, better am
GR: noise ok, bright?, cooler, better am

How do we remember?  Modes of learning
Auditory:  need to hear it, sing it, repeat it aloud
Visual:  need to see pics/books, see the person teaching.
Kinesthetic:  need to move, do actions, take breaks, lg spaces

Who's what:
KR:  visual
HR: visual, auditory
IR: visual, auditory, kinesthetic
ER: auditory
GR auditory, kinesthetic

What do we understand:
Global:  big picture, groups better, general, multi-task OK, easily distracted, needs help organizing and staying that way, I'll do it, but not on your timetable--procrastination
Analytical:  details, organized, consistent, competitive, one thing at a time, hard to deal w/ interruptions., has to have a system

Who's what:
KR: both
HR both but more analytical maybe
IR: VERY global in tasks, but not good w/ many people
ER: both
GR: both

How can we be smart:   Everyone needs to develop skills in all
Linguistic: verbal/words, reading, communicating
Logical/Math:
Spatial: tangrams, geometry,
Musical
Bodily kinesthetic: proprioception
Interpersonal: working well w/ people
Intrapersonal: working well by self/inside self

What are we?
Kev: ling, logic, spatial, music, body, interperson, intra
HR: ling, math, ?spatial ok, musical, body?, inter--getting better, intra
IR:  good: verbak, logic, spacial, intra...not so much: body, inter...ok, music
ER: good: verbal, math, spactial, inter, intra.   OK; music, body
GR:  good: verbal, math, body, inter, intra: OK; spatial, music

How we put it together;
  1. Become AWARE
  2. Opposite camps (and I'm better than you)
  3. Appreciate (all/others not like you)
  4. Excuses: (I can't do that b/c I'm…)f
  5. Flex:  I can improve areas of weakness w/ areas of strength.
